Synn and I called for a small gathering yesterday at our place, and the food for the day was pizza!
Normally, Synn takes care of the dough (yes it’s all homemade, even the dough), while I take care of the ingredients (chopping, can opening, etc). However, since we had enough hands yesterday, I was in charge of taking photographs of the work-in-progress.
Here’s Synn’s sifted flour.

Looks like the sifted flour grew mould, but fear not, it’s actually herbs that we added to give it a nice aroma.

After adding some butter, sugar, yeast and warm water, we’re ready to mix the dough. After mixing, Synn says we have to let the dough rest. Something about letting the yeast work its magic, hehe. Meanwhile, we do some chopping. Onions, tomatoes, shrooms, etc…

Here, the dough’s resting near a nice warm source to let the yeast do the dirty work for us: grow my pretty, GROW!

Would you believe, after about half an hour of growing, the darn thing grew to twice its size? Sweet Mother of Jesus. If we’d let it grow anymore, it’d take over the oven.

After resting, roll out the dough to the correct size, place on the pizza pan, and the fun part begins! Adding the ingredients!

We had a tuna/pineapple flavour, and a super-supreme-ish pizza with lotsa beef and salami. Chuck it in the oven for half hour and presto, pizza’s ready to eat.

Took us 2 and a half hours in all.
And yes, it tasted excellent! ^^
Nothing like home cooked food. Yum. Especially pizza!
